Our zero-waste packaging: what it is made of and why

When we launched SeasonSphere, we made one non-negotiable: the packaging could never contradict the product. You cannot sell sustainable décor wrapped in layers of bubble wrap and styrofoam.

What is in your box

The outer box Recycled single-ply cardboard, printed with soy-based inks. No bleach. No lamination. Fully recyclable, or compostable within 90 days in home compost.

Inner cushioning Shredded recycled paper — no bubble wrap, no foam peanuts. The paper can go straight into your home compost or paper recycling.

Product wrapping Each Toran is wrapped in unbleached muslin fabric. This is intentional — you can use the fabric as a dust cover when storing your Toran between seasons.

The thank-you card Seed paper. Plant it in a pot and it will grow marigolds or wildflowers within 2–3 weeks.

What we do not use - Plastic tape (we use paper tape with water-based adhesive) - Styrofoam or foam of any kind - Plastic windows or inserts - Synthetic ribbon

The honest truth Sustainable packaging costs more. Our per-order packaging cost is approximately 40% higher than conventional alternatives. We absorb that cost — it is part of the brand promise, not an add-on.
